Italy are gone, too mundane to carry on

And the Kings of Non-Football

Are drowning in tears

Go one-nil ahead, make the game dead

Is the way of Non-Football

But thank God, not this year

Watching Italian football

Is like watching

The Godfather Part III

You know everyone is good at what they do

But after ten minutes you find yourself

Falling asleep in your tea

No one ever said

'Did you watch that great Italian game?'

Except against Brazil in 1982

And even then, everyone was just pissed off

That Brazil had been beaten

And the hallowed Socrates was gone

But now it is Italy who are gone

And we can rejoice

Or at least

Relax
