In the end, they came not to play football
But to kick people in the chest
The Dutch
Capable of driving the most
Elegant sports car
Turned up to play
In a bulldozer
They blame the referee
Not me
Or Alan Hansen
The Spanish
For their part
Do not need much of an invitation
To fall over
With face contorted
And now they are
Champions of the World
Which makes it
Strange to think
That on 12th October this year
They will lose to Scotland
At Hampden Park
They say it’s a funny game
But it’s not really.
It’s an angry game
Full of snarling angry people
For the moment the Spanish
Are smiling
But it won’t last
