This Blasted Life #3

The latest episode of This Blasted Life - or This Blasted Life 3 to give it's Sunday best title - has now been posted over at Blasted Heath.

I live in England (at the moment). Every now and again someone says to me, what do you think of Scottish independence? I usually say that I'm not sure. So I spent upwards of twenty minutes writing about it for this blog, doing endless research and thinking deeply about the consequences of Scotland seceding from the union.

Then I had a cup of tea and some toast.

Inevitably at this stage, opinion is divided between those who are being sucked along in Alex Salmond’s wake – a phenomenon scientists equate to innocent bystanders being dragged along behind an avalanche of doughnut sugar – and those who think that Scotland ought to give independence a miss because, in the words of Professor Brian Kierkegaard of the University of Glasgow, ‘We’d be shite at it.’
